Recreation Game Rules

COACHES AND ASSISTANTS
Only the HEAD COACH and a maximum of TWO ASSISTANT COACHES shall be allowed to remain on the bench (team) side of the field. NO PARENTS are to be on the Team benches with the teams. All coaches must remain on the bench side of the field while the ball is in play, and MUST NOT pass beyond the midfield line or the start of the 18yard box. No coaches are allowed behind the goal during the game.

PARENTS AND SPECTATORS
Parents and spectators must be on the opposite side of the field as the teams. They must remain a minimum of three yards behind the touch lines. No parents or spectators are allowed behind either goal or anywhere on the end line during a game. If any parents or spectators get unruly or out of hand, they may be asked to leave the field and the referee can stop play until the unruly parent is completely out of the area. Please respect the referee’s decisions. They are human and will make mistakes, but they are in control of the game.

ALL PLAYERS

Players of all age groups are required to wear shin guards. If a player is not wearing shin guards, they will not be allowed to play, that goes for games as well as at practices.

Soccer cleats are recommended but are not mandatory. Please be sure the player is wearing soccer cleats; soccer cleats do not have a cleat at the toe of the shoe. Also, at this time, only molded plastic or vinyl cleats are allowed to be worn, no steel cleats are permitted.

NOTE TO ALL

All Players will play 50% of a game whether or not they attended every practice that week. It is the responsibility of the Coaches to see that each player gets this playing time. The exceptions are if a Player gets hurt or sick during the game, arrives after the games has started or leaves prior to the completion of the game.
