State Cup play for the 2018/2019 seasons is coming to a close. WCWAA would like to congratulate all of our teams that participated in USYS, Kepner Presidents’ and Singer State Cup events this year! We appreciate your representation of our club on the fields.
2 teams this spring have advanced to the Final Four of the Kepner President’s Cup! These 2 teams join a long history of WCWAA teams reaching the Final Four of state cup play that dates back to 2008. Each year since then, WCWAA has had at least one representative during Final Four weekend.
Semifinal games will be played this Saturday at Gillette Park in Wilson with spots for Sunday’s Championship games on the line. Winners of Sunday’s finals will represent NC at the Region III Championships in Round Rock, Texas in June.
The 00 Black, coached by Kyle Searles, advanced to the Final Four in their last year of Club soccer. Playing in the U19 age division, they will take on NCF Twin City Gold at 7:15pm Saturday.
The 04 Black, coached by Vic Johnson, make their second consecutive appearance in the Final Four. Last year’s team was finalists in the U13 NC Kepner State Cup. They will play at 2pm Saturday in the Semifinals. Their opponent has not yet been determined.
Special congratulations to the 03 Silver and Coach Kash Knight as they were Finalists this past weekend at the Singer State Cup. They boys advanced to the Finals before falling 2-1 in overtime. Great run 03 Silver!
Congratulations again to all WCWAA teams for your performances in the NC State Cup Series! Thanks for representing our club and our families so well!
Good luck to both teams playing this weekend. We all support you, we all are proud of you, and we all can’t wait to see how you do.

We would like to welcome you to the Wesley Chapel Weddington Athletic Association (WCWAA) Soccer Program. We have proudly served Union County and the surrounding areas since 1982. WCWAA Soccer started humbly with just 94 families with children ages 7 to 14 playing soccer at the Recreational level. Today, we currently have over 2000 families in our programs with children ages 3 to 18 playing at all skill levels. With our continued growth, WCWAA Soccer has risen to become one of the top programs in North Carolina.
The WCWAA Soccer Programs are focused on individual player development and team concepts of play. As a player matures, WCWAA is able to offer the more competitive environments of our Youth Academy, Classic and Premier levels of play. WCWAA also offers our â€Ãƒƒ…“Take on Sportsâ€Ãƒƒ‚ Program which caters to children, ages 5 – 22, and adults 23 and older with special needs. This program provides an opportunity for these athletes to learn new skills, build physical fitness and self-esteem and most of all have fun in a safe and positive environment.
WCWAA Soccer is committed to being actively involved in its local communities. We annually take on a leadership role in helping raise money for organizations such as the Union County Red Cross, CMC-Union Edwards Cancer Center an affiliate of Levine Cancer Institute, along with many others.
WCWAA Soccer̢۪s reach extends well beyond the Wesley Chapel and Weddington areas to include all of Union County, Charlotte/Mecklenburg County and into the State of South Carolina.
